How to create images for every frame of your video with VLC


Sometimes you may want to save all your movie frames as photos. If you are using VLC Player your work can be done with simple command at command prompt without using any software.

Go to the folder where your VLC player is installed. Normally it is C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\.

Then type this command vlc.exe “c:\movie.wmv” -video-filter=scene-vout=dummy-scene-ratio=1 -scene-path=C:\photos\vlc://quit. give your move path at c:\movie.wmv and the location to where the photos to be copied as shown in the above figure.
