APSRTC (Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation) started India’s first IVRS (Interactive Voice Response System) Ticket booking System. Mr.B. Prasada Rao , M.D. , APSRTC Yesterday (08th May, 2012) announced this most useful facility along with Mr. C.H. Sudhakar Reddy, M.D. Abhibus developer of this system.
Steps to book APSRTC ticket by IVRS
1. Call to Toll free number 18002004599 with your mobile or landline phone from any place.
2.Provide the necessary journey information like, Journey from, Journey to, Journey date, time, Passengers Name, Age along with Mobile Number, Mail id to Customer care executive. Depending upon the availability of seats customer care executive connects your call to Computerised Reservation system (IVRS-Interactive Voice Response System).
3.According to the computer instructions Passenger should enter 16 digits Debit / Credit card number followed by % through phone. No Human interaction will be allowed in receiving the card number. Computer will receive the card number.
4.Then Passenger receive 6 digit one time password as SMS. Enter the Password.
5.As soon as entering the password correctly, Amount from Debit / Credit card will be deducted. And SMS of Journey details will be sent to the Phone along with the Journey ticket to mail ID.
Passenger can take the print out of the Mail or he / she can travel by showing the SMS itself.
Charges / Fare to book APSRTC ticket on IVRS
No Extra amount will be charged. Like all other types of Online Reservation Systems only Rs.10 (Reservation Charges) and 2.5% (Service Tax) will be charged from Customer.
