What is System Restore in Windows
System Restore is a facility in Windows to reverse your system settings to working condition at where previously system worked fine.
What is Restore Point
System Restore Point is the workable condition point of the system. These restore points contain information about registry settings and other system information that Windows uses. Bringing the system into Restore point means system is ready to work as it was worked fine at last time.
Why and When we need to do System Restore
Regularly we install many programs, drivers and windows updates for our daily use. If any thing gone wrong system may get crashed. Many times uninstalling the suspected program, driver may solve the problem, but some times it won’t. Some times severe virus also may be the cause of system failure. System restore works fine in these situations to bring system again in previous working condition.
How to create System Restore Point
Generally Windows creates System Restore points automatically at the time of new windows updates , program , driver installations.
System Restore Point can created manually also. To do Manually follow the two simple steps.
1.Right Click on Computer -> Select Properties -> System Protection (left side pane) -> Create.
2.Enter the Name of the System Restore Point and click on Create. After successful creation you see the message System Restore Point Created Successfully.
How to Restore the computer using System Restore Point
1.Right Click on Computer -> Select Properties -> System Protection (left side pane) -> System Restore.
2.System Restore wizard starts. Select the System Restore Point which you want to restore.
